Guidelines

For standard commission process, pricing will always include a nonrefundable £20 initial payment, and the rest of the price of the commission will take place on completion of the requested works. Primary payment method is via PayPal, and all PayPal fees are to be paid by the customer.
Commissions requesting a less familiar genre or style may take longer or cost more. The right to deny any commission for any reason is reserved.
It is unlikely that if you commission you will gain commercial rights to the music or sounds involved. Any audio provided must be assumed to be for the singular stated purpose of the commission only, unless clearly specified otherwise. Commissioning music or sounds with the intention to gain full ownership of the entire rights to the provided audio will increase the cost drastically and require extra agreements.
If you are unsure about what rights you will have over audio you receive from a commission, feel free to query this during or while initiating any commission communication.
Commission Styles and Pricing
Cover/Edit/Mashup
~£50/$70
Content produced is short (under 1 minute), requesting of looping of this content for longer final piece is fine. Content is simple, comprising of mostly transcription, perhaps recreating a song in a specific soundfont or simple style. This mostly applies to covering or creating music with very few parts and simple sounds, perhaps a piano solo or short ambient piece. Cover means no new compositional or arrangement additions, just like applying a new coat of paint to the same idea. For new additions, look at the remixes. If you’re wanting a short piece of music to express an idea about some pre-existing music, this is the tier. Examples: Short simple intro themes, joke covers of music, DJ mix type mashups.
Simple Track/Remix
£100/$135
New original works or remixes expecting new content or new approaches to a provided idea or setting. Audio content 2-4 minutes in length, loopable if requested. Not requiring any extensive sound design or complicated mixing. Generic synth sounds, samples and instruments only. This means no sound design intensive electronic genres, nor music featuring significant orchestral parts or many layered instruments. If you’re looking for a simple arrangement, or something original that is quite short, this tier is suitable. Examples: Simple track ideas, short and simple remixes, accompanying audio for short content.
Full Feature Track/Remix
£150/$200
New original works or remixes expecting new content or new approaches to a provided idea or setting. Track can either be 4+ minutes or complicated sound design/composition. This means either a complicated track less than 4 minutes in length, or a more simplistic track that is 4+ minutes long. (For requests approaching 10 minutes or longer, it is likely to be bumped up to a “Complex Feature Track/Remix”) Keep in mind that if it loops, it can be complicated and longer than 4 minutes. The 4 minute restriction is on unique produced content. Complicated sound design/composition includes sound design intensive electronic genres, and many layered genres such as orchestral. If you’re not sure which tier you want, you probably want this one. This tier provides a standard piece of music at a standard ~4 minute length. Examples: Standard music production, accompanying music for video.
Complex Feature Track/Remix
£200/$270
New original works or remixes expecting new content or new approaches to a provided idea or setting. Track can be both 4+ minutes and complicated sound design/composition. Complicated sound design/composition includes sound design intensive electronic genres, and many layered genres such as orchestral. If you’re looking for a long piece of music with high detail, this is your tier. Examples: Anything long and complicated.
